Pageant Schedule
The pageant will be held at 6pm on Saturday, October 7th, at the Greenbrier County Public Library.
Contestants are to arrive at the library by 11am for Registration. Contestants will be allowed to leave after rehearsal for lunch, if they desire. All contestants must be back and ready for interviews by 3:45pm. Interviews will start promptly at 4:00pm. We will NOT hold interviews for anyone who shows up late. Each contestant will be allowed 1 person in the dressing room with them.

Awards
Queen will receive a tiara, sash, flowers, crown pin, plaque and gift bag. We do send our Queen on to compete at the 2018 West Virginia Association of Fairs & Festivals pageant in January.
Teen will receive a tiara, sash, flowers, crown pin, plaque and gift bag.
Pre-Teen will receive a tiara, sash, flowers, crown pin, plaque and gift bag.

Winners will reign over the 2018 Shanghai Parade in downtown Lewisburg on New Year’s Day. They will also be required to make appearances throughout the year.
Other awards will be awarded to 1st & 2nd runners up in each division, along with a Photogenic, Congeniality and Fan Favorite winner

2. Send in the appropriate entry fee for your division:
Queen: $100
Teen: $75
Pre-Teen: $50

4. Bring a 5x7 or 8x10 picture, with you, the day of the pageant for photogenic.

If paying by paypal, send fee to queenofhairwv@gmail.com. When using paypal please click send to friends and family in the US.

For Queen contestants: If you win another WVAFF title before our pageant, we will refund your entry fee.

Phases of Competition
Personal Interview: Each contestant will have an opportunity to talk with the judges, panel style, for 3 minutes (5 if time permits). Wardrobe is professional, something you would wear to a job interview.
Promotion & Personal Sense of Style: Each contestant is required to make a 30 second promo about their selves. The promo should tell about the contestant (hobbies, activities, etc). Wardrobe for this is an outfit that shows your personal sense of style. This can be anything but please be modest. You will model your outfit for the Personal Sense of Style phase after promotions are complete. However, there will be no time to change outfits between so your Promotion outfit and your Personal Sense of Style Outfit will be the same.
Evening Gown: Each contestant will model in a full length gown that is not only chosen to show you off to your best advantage but that is also age appropriate. Any color, style or fabric - plain or fancy - it's up to you.

On-Stage Interview: Each contestant will have a brief interview on stage. Questions will be based from your application.

All contestants will introduce their selves on stage at the beginning of the pageant.
Please make sure all of your clothing fits in all the appropriate areas. We do not want contestants "falling out" of their clothing onstage. Please keep the pageant G rated ladies.
